Sheep and birthdays

Well its been my Mum's birthday earlier this week (happy birthday Mum!) and we visited her on Sunday. She lives in Northumberland near the Cumbrian border. It was gorgeous weather so we had a lovely sunday dinner and gave her a pressie of cards & Card making things - another craftie - now you know where I get it from. She paints watercolours in her spare time too :).

Anyway, we decided to go for a drive out to where we used to live and go to the church yard and visit my dads grave. Its been 9 years since he died but we dont get the chance to visit the grave much. After cleaning the grave up and putting in fresh flowers, we got a chance to make the most of the weather. The surroundings were beautiful and I love April because of the lambing season. I have to say these are pretty big sheep for the time of year.Anyway, I made good use of my camera and took 100+ pictures on the way there and back.

It took us over 5 hours travelling but it was certainly worth it and what beautiful weather for April too! Hope its been as good weather where you are this weekend!

Happy Easter! (belatedly)

Happy Easter !

Yes, this is my cat Tilly wearing some bunny ears. As you can tell, she's so happy about it (not). To be fair, I am holding the ears - I'm not that cruel :).

Hope you've had a great weekend. We've done very little really except some shopping today but its been lovely to have a break and good weather too. Back to the grindstone tomorrow though.

Hi to Sarah too :)

The End of an Era

Well, I've finally finished the Painting with Light course. I've enjoyed the photography so much that I would like to keep doing photography on a regular basis. I have to start taking my camera bag with me everywhere I go now! Its a habit that I must get into (I must, I must take my camera with me...).

One of the pictures I took was selected as a favourite on Module 5, which I was so chuffed about.

This is the image. DH agreed to have his picture taken as it was in silhouette and it came out much better than expected. Cheers hun!

I am feeling quite sad about the PWL group going their own ways but as many of them are from UK Scrappers to start with, a group has been started on there so we can all stay in touch.
